Greetings! I’m a freelance Sommelier in New Jersey, USA. Not only do I love Wine, Beer and Spirits/Mixology, but I’m a total Foodie!
I love that Wine is becoming more popular in the U.S. and that people are taking a bigger interest in it. What I don’t like is the snobby stigma still associated with Wine. The snobby stigma has followed wine for years and still holds some people back from becoming wine drinkers. The snobs make it intimidating, but it shouldn’t be…it’s just something you drink!
I despise snobbishness and people who thumb their noses at other people who don’t know about wine. I want everyone to enjoy wine! I’m here to share everything I know about wine, inform people who are looking to learn and share nerdy wine stuff with those who already love wine! Wine should be fun!
Learning about wine may not be as hard as becoming a Doctor, but there’s a daunting amount of information and learning about wine never ends, so I want to make it as easy and fun as possible!
This site will also not just be about wine, because being a Sommelier is not just exclusive to wine. Sommeliers must have knowledge of Beers, Spirits and Food! I don’t think you can be a good Sommelier unless you not only love food, but have some sort of passion for cooking. Wine doesn’t go with everything, so I’ll have posts on all aspects food pairing with all beverages.
